Chimney Services

Chimney Cleaning
One of the most important things you can do to protect your home and family is to have your chimney and fireplace cleaned on a regular basis.
If it is determined that there is a build up of at least 1/8 to 1/4 inch of the substance creosote; which is considered a fire hazard if it’s collected in the flue of your chimney, then we recommend it be cleaned right away.
Using two layers of thick polypropylene plastic we seal off the chimney to prevent any dust or debris from entering the home. After thoroughly brushing the chimney with a combination of specially designed brushes, we use a HEPA vacuum and gently remove a corner of the plastic and suck out all fallen creosote and any debris from the firebox.
When we’re done we leave you with a NO MESS, NO DUST guarantee and a spotless chimney and fireplace.

Full Safety Inspection
Chimney and fireplace inspections should be done annually to address safety concerns and to
prevent performance problems.
When we service a home, we always do a full 14 point chimney safety inspection. We check everything from top to bottom, inside and out to make sure your chimney is safe.
We make sure everything is structurally sound and working properly. The chimney sweep then goes over the condition report with you so you know what is satisfactory, unsatisfactory or unsafe to use.
Our Chimney Sweeps are knowledgeable and can answer any questions or concerns you have regarding your chimney or fireplace.

Chimney Repairs
Chimney Sweeps, Inc. offers a variety of repairs for all your needs. We inspect your chimney and fireplace to identify and repair problems before they cause long-term damage to your home and become unsafe for your family. Some common signs of chimney damage include: cracks in the masonry, water leaks in or around the chimney, rust in the firebox, rust on the damper. Our chimney sweeps are simply the best in the business. All of our chimney sweeps have been professionally trained and certified.
Water Leak, Condensation Resolution & Repair
If water is damaging your fireplace inside or out, we’ll find and fix it. Water stains on ceilings or walls can often be traced back to an improperly sealed chimney, roof line or roof vent. Sealing these areas can prevent thousands in future home repairs.
Waterproofing / Repair & Restoration
We offer a full range of repairs to your chimney system, big and small. From repairing a leaky flashing, tuck-pointing loose bricks, pouring a chimney crown or installing a flue liner.
Rebuild Crowns
An improperly built crown is a common issue that can be causing extensive and expensive damage to your chimney system. When the crown is cracking it is letting moisture into your system and possibly into the re-barb reinforcements that when compromised can pull apart your chimney from the inside and weaken its earthquake resistance. Further when water mixes with the creosote it can form sulfuric acid. This can cause the chimney to start to crumble internally. If you are having leaking or know that your chimney crown has been damaged due to coastal moisture and showers or inland showers and summer heat, give us a call for a full chimney safety inspection and home consultation to go over your options.
Replace Chase Covers
Leaky or damaged chase covers/tops, or those not properly air cooled, are potential hazards and have been the root cause of many chimney and home fires in San Diego County.
We help eliminate problems before they start by replacing rusty metal and not properly cooling chase covers/tops that have been installed by negligent contractors who didn’t follow the manufactures guidelines.
